Star Trek Into Darkness Outperforms 2009 Predecessor

If we needed any further confirmation that there was going to be a 3rd J.J. Abrams-produced Star Trek film, it has arrived with the news that his second Star Trek film, Star Trek Into Darkness, has turned over $410million worldwide since it’s release in early May. This warps past (sorry, I had to) it’s 2009 predecessor Star Trek, which to date has earned $385million worldwide. Whether JJ will be too busy with the first of his new Star Wars films to direct the third Trek installment has yet to be seen though.

Watch the clip from the film below for some engaging words by the superb baddie Benedict Cumberbatch.
